I’m sure you’ve all heard the OVA used many characters from the Futaba channels and with the knowledge of Me-Tans creator getting legal teams involved it really makes you think about how much of this is potentially all bootlegged and illegal content? It goes to show how shady of a company and magazine NetRunner was. Later on parts of the blog detail about lawyers getting involved. Interestingly enough it seems this shady company had used Me-tan illegally and perhaps multiple times as well. Now I found this highly fascinating, as I’m sure you all know NetRunner is the magazine / company that created Netrunmon, which has become a hot topic in the last year.

However this is where things get interesting, on Toshiakis blog dedicated to Me-Tan it states this: I’ve found Me-tans original creator and their pen name “Toshiaki” which is very exciting, I’ve also found beta color designs of the first illustration of Me-tan which I have posted! Me-tan as you may know was created as the first os-tan character in the Futaba channels on the exact date of August 6th, 2003 with the other tans following suit. During searching today while using the Wayback Machine I’ve learnt of quite an interesting event that went down during the year 2004.
